The Wildschönau

At an altitude of ~1,000 meters you come across a remote high valley whose municipality bears the name Wildschönau. Calm villages and silent mountain landscapes characterize our small, fine region. We are proud of the beautiful old ranches - which are still farmed. Music is in the air - the Wildschönau is also called the valley of music. A musically focused main school and numerous chapels, choirs and music groups are a sign of the great love for music.

A real quaint original
...this is the Wildschönau in winter. The high valley in the Kitzbühel Alps has always retained its very own charm. The Gasthof Bichlwirt (owned by the Thaler family) has a history of more than 500 years and certainly is the oldest inn in the region.
